Qualifications
Qualifications / Local Requirements
•Professional Educator License
•General Administrative or General Supervisory Endorsement
•Preferred Early Childhood General Education Self-Contained Endorsement, Birth: Grade Three

Program Administration
- Assume responsibility for the daily operation of the early childhood education program.
- Act as liaison between the early childhood education staff and families.
- Provide community outreach, becoming involved in relevant organizations and education programs.
- Maintain policies and procedures for program operation
- Provide a vision for program development and change
- Attend meetings and workshops to keep current with trends and developments in the field
- Write and administrate Preschool For All Grant
Program Operation
- Supervise screening, play-based assessment, registration, and enrollment
- Make decisions regarding classroom placements
- Plan school year calendar
- Prepare and maintain the early childhood education handbook
- Maintain program website
Supervision and Personnel
- Select and hire staff.
- Supervise and formally evaluate early childhood educational staff.
- Plan and provide staff development opportunities and training.
- Hold regular team, problem solving, and data review meetings.
- Encourage and provide opportunities for team building and staff collaboration
- Interview and select substitute teachers
- Work with related service providers
Curriculum and Instruction
- Supervise implementation of program curriculum
- Collaborate with teachers to ensure instructional activities promote developmentally appropriate student learning
- Procure and organize instructional equipment and supplies
Family Involvement
- Coordinate parent and parent/child activities
- Facilitate parent check-out for lending library materials
- Develop monthly program newsletter
- Maintain needed supplies and equipment for program activities
- Communicate with parents by email, phone, written communication, and formal and informal meetings
- Solicit information periodically from families to determine satisfaction and improve the program
Salary/Benefits
Salary
Minimum Salary Starting at $98,000 to commensurate experience with qualifications.
