Duties
We are seeking an energetic, student-centered Physical Education Teacher to lead engaging PE instruction for students in grades 4–5. The ideal candidate will promote physical fitness, teamwork, healthy habits, and positive sportsmanship while creating a safe and inclusive learning environment for all students.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement standards-based physical education lessons aligned with Illinois learning standards
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and active classroom culture
- Teach fundamental movement skills, team sports, fitness concepts, and cooperative activities
- Assess student progress and maintain accurate records
- Promote student wellness, safety, and appropriate physical activity
- Communicate effectively with parents, staff, and administration
- Supervise students during PE classes and school-related activities
- Collaborate with classroom teachers and support staff to support student success
