Duties
Responsible for creating individualized education plans (IEPs), tailoring instruction, and providing support to students with disabilities. Collaborate closely with general education teachers and support staff to ensure an inclusive learning environment, assess and monitor student progress, manage classroom behavior effectively, communicate with parents, stay updated on best practices through professional development, and advocate for the rights and needs of special education students within the school community.
Qualifications
A certified teaching certificate with special education endorsement required (in-state or out of state). If you are currently in college and will graduate in December that would suffice as well.
Salary/Benefits
According to collective bargaining agreement.
Additional Notes
You will be third member of the special education team.
