Duties
Spanish Teacher:
The primary goal is to help students achieve proficiency in the four key language skills: reading, writing, listening, and speaking.

Lesson Planning: Designing engaging lessons that follow district and state standards.

Cultural Immersion: Integrating lessons on the history, geography, music, and traditions of Spanish-speaking countries to provide context beyond grammar.

Differentiated Instruction: Adapting materials for students at different levels within the same classroom, including providing accommodations for special education or gifted students.

Technology Integration: Using tools like Google Classroom, Canvas, or language apps (Quizlet, Duolingo, Conjuguemos) to enhance learning.

Target Language Use: Striving to conduct a high percentage of the class in Spanish (immersion-style) to build student confidence.

Establishing Routines: Implementing daily "Bell Ringers" (e.g., Para Empezar activities) to start class immediately.

Behavior Management: Enforcing school policies regarding attendance, phone usage, and respectful conduct.

Creating an Immersive Space: Decorating the classroom with visual aids, maps, and vocabulary posters that reflect Hispanic culture.
Qualifications
Valid Teaching Certificate for Foreign Language.
Salary/Benefits
$40,955.00-58,477.00 with additional board paid TRS and benefits based on current Union Contract.
