The primary objective of the International Student Support Coordinator is to facilitate the integration of international students into St. Bede’s curriculum and culture and to act as an advocate for the international students’ needs. Serving as a liaison between international students, faculty, and administration, the International Student Support Coordinator plays a crucial role in comprehending and addressing behavioral, cultural, and academic concerns. The responsibilities include, but are not limited to, supporting students and faculty while fostering effective communication between international students and the academic community, in addition to providing necessary education and professional development for involved parties.


  • Identify learners with specific language needs and develop tailored intervention plans. 
  • Analyze assessment data to provide targeted support to individuals or groups as needed through daily monitoring and weekly student success meetings. 
  • Manage testing accommodations during the school day, final exam, and all College Board Assessment. 
  • Monitor student skills through one-on-one or small group sessions during the school day to address learning gaps, assist with homework, and promote self-advocacy.
  • Advocate for the needs and concerns of international students within the institution. 


  • Work with teachers offering support and collaboration in curriculum implementation, classroom management, and teaching strategies. 
  • Help departments develop St. Bede-specific curriculum proficiency assessments to evaluate incoming students’ academic proficiency for class scheduling purposes. 
  • Collaborate with other student services departments (Director of Enrollment Management, Academic and Career Counselor, Social Worker, and Dean of Residential Programs) to allocate resources and programs required for effective support and engagement of international students.


  • Maintain accurate records of international students’ progress and assessment results.
    • Conduct student success meetings and generate reports and analyses to determine best practices. 


  • Manage resources and materials related to the international student program.
  • Assist in scheduling of international students.
  • Assist in the interviewing of prospective international students. 


Bachelors Degree

ESL/ELL endorsement
