Duties
1.0 FTE special education teacher
Instructional responsibilities include the teaching of special education students in both inclusion and self-contained settings. Additional responsibilities/expectations include: • Supporting the D71 Vision for Special Education • Participation in department and grade level collaborative teams • Collaboration with other classroom teachers, Student Services Team, and support staff • Responsibilities also include the supervision and management of the classes, while effectively teaching the curriculum to meet the individual needs of students, evaluating individual progress, and communicating progress with students and parents.
Qualifications
Must have Professional Educator License and experience as well as a belief of services for students in an inclusive environment.
