Duties

• Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for each student
• Create and deliver differentiated lessons addressing varying abilities and learning styles
• Use specialized teaching methods appropriate for students with learning differences
• Adapt grade-level curriculum to meet special education students' needs
• Work closely with general education teachers on inclusion strategies
• Communicate regularly with parents/guardians about student progress
• Oversee paraprofessionals 
• Collaborate with administration to provide a comprehensive special education program 

Qualifications

Must meet the State of Illinois Learning Behavior Specialist licensure requirements.  A desirable candidate would have experience in LETRS and/or Math interventions.
