Duties

• Health Education: Deliver an engaging, age-appropriate health curriculum covering mental health, nutrition, substance abuse prevention, anatomy, and healthy relationships.
• Physical Education: Plan and lead high-yield PE units that focus on teamwork, individual fitness, motor skills, and recreational sports.
• Differentiated Instruction: Adapt activities and assessments to accommodate students with diverse physical abilities, learning styles, and IEP/504 plans.
• Classroom & Gym Management: Maintain a safe, respectful, and highly organized environment in both the classroom and athletic facilities.
• Assessment & Tracking: Monitor and evaluate student progress using practical skill assessments, written exams, and participation metrics.

Qualifications

Teacher must possess current or provisional Illinois licensure with endorsement for teaching HS Health Education.
