Additional Notes

BMP (Bureau Marshall Putnam) Special Education Cooperative is seeking a full-time school psychologist.  We serve fourteen districts in north-central Illinois.  Our office is in Tiskilwa, just south of Princeton, conveniently located on I-80, fifty minutes from Peoria, one hour from the Quad Cities, one & one-quarter hours from Bloomington-Normal, and one & one-half hours from Rockford and the western suburbs. School assignments consider home location to minimize travel.

We employ several school psychologists, each of whom serves an average total student population of 872 and fewer than 4 buildings. Psychologists report to a supervising school psychologist and our close-knit and supportive team consults on a regular basis. The psychologist is an integral part of their building teams, along with a school social worker and special education coordinator. Our philosophy is proactive and supportive in the area of RtI/MTSS, with data-based decision-making and quality intervention at all tiers being top priorities.

Job duties of the school psychologist include: Consultation through active participation on problem-solving teams to develop interventions, conduct screenings, interpret data, and monitor student progress; Psychoeducational evaluations for students who have or are suspected of having a disability; Recommendation of  data-based interventions and entitlement decisions; Consultation regarding individual and systems-level programs and supports;  Direct service and/or special projects as appropriate; and Provision of inservice training as needed.

The school psychologist supervisor is committed to expanding the role of our school psychologists over time to better serve our students and staff.  Join our team and help design the future of school psychology at BMP!
