Duties
Type: Full Time, 2026-2027 School-Year Position
St. Francis High School is seeking a highly organized, flexible, and student-centered professional to serve as an Administrative & Student Services Support Staff. This position provides support across multiple areas of the high school, including classroom coverage, counseling/student services, and administrative support.
The ideal candidate is someone who enjoys working with high school students and adults, can adjust quickly to changing needs, is proactive, and is comfortable working in a variety of settings throughout the school day.
Primary Responsibilities
Classroom & Instructional Support
- Provide classroom coverage for absent teachers as assigned.
- Implement teacher-provided lesson plans and maintain a positive and productive classroom environment.
- Supervise students and reinforce school expectations and procedures.
- Assist students with assigned work when appropriate.
- Provide additional instructional or supervisory coverage as needed.
Counseling & Student Services Support
- Assist school counselors with student services activities and programming.
- Support students with routine questions and help connect them with the appropriate counselor of resource.
- Assist with standardized testing, extended-time testing, and testing room.
- Assist with the preparation and organization of materials, communications, meetings, and special events.
- Help students access appropriate school resources and services.
- Help prepare materials and coordinate activities for college and career program, student meetings, and special events.
- Provide organizational and administrative support to the Counseling Department.
- Maintain confidentiality when working with student information and records.
Administrative Support
- Provide support to school administrators.
- Support school events, testing, and other building initiatives.
- Assist with routine administrative processes.
- Provide coverage and assistance in school offices during periods of increased activity or staff absence.
- Complete special projects and other administrative tasks.
School Community
- Serve as a positive, visible, and consistent presence throughout the school.
- Build professional relationships with students, staff, families, and visitors.
- Assist with student supervision during arrival, dismissal, lunch periods, passing periods, or school activities as needed.
- Respond flexibly to changing building needs and priorities.
- Perform other duties that support the success of students and the school.
