Special Education Teacher provides individualized instruction and support to students with disabilities in grades K–8. The teacher works with families, classroom teachers, related service providers, and school administrators to help students make academic, social, and behavioral progress and participate meaningfully in school.

Key responsibilities include:

• Plan and deliver instruction based on each student’s Individualized Education Program (IEP).
• Adapt lessons, materials, and assessments to meet students’ learning needs.
• Monitor student progress and use the results to adjust instruction.
• Develop, implement, and review IEP goals with the student’s educational team.
• Collaborate with general education teachers to support students in the classroom.
• Communicate regularly with families about student progress and needs.
• Maintain accurate records and support a safe, respectful learning environment.

The teacher should demonstrate strong instructional skills, patience, sound judgment, and a commitment to helping every student succeed.
