Duties

Rock Falls Township High School District 301 is seeking an experienced, student-centered, and collaborative educational leader to serve as the next Principal of Rock Falls Township High School (RFHS) beginning July 1, 2027.

The District is seeking a leader who will build strong relationships with students, staff, families, and the community while providing clear and effective leadership in the areas of teaching and learning, school culture, student achievement, and continuous improvement.

The District is also seeking a principal who has a strong desire to expand college and career pathway experiences, work-based learning, and internship opportunities for all students. The successful candidate should be willing to build partnerships with local businesses, community organizations, postsecondary institutions, and regional partners to create meaningful experiences that help students connect classroom learning to future careers.

The successful candidate will be highly visible and accessible, demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills, and possess the ability to bring people together around a shared commitment to the success of all students. 

Qualifications

• Hold or be eligible for the appropriate Illinois Professional Educator License with the administrative endorsement required for the principalship
• Possess a master's degree from an accredited institution
• Demonstrate successful educational leadership experience
• Have a strong understanding of curriculum, instruction, assessment, student services, school improvement, and personnel leadership

Salary/Benefits

The anticipated salary range for the position is $120,000–$140,000, commensurate with the successful candidate’s qualifications and experience. The District offers a competitive benefits package, including district-paid family health and dental insurance and participation in the Illinois Teachers’ Retirement System (TRS).
