Band 2026-2027 (stipend) APPLY ONLINE

Direct and rehearse concert band, marching band, pep band, and/or jazz ensemble as applicable
Select appropriate repertoire that challenges students while matching their skill level
Organize and lead performances, including concerts, football game performances, competitions, and community events
Recruit and retain students in the band program; support elementary/middle school feeder programs where applicable
Manage instrument inventory, equipment maintenance, and uniform/apparel logistics
Develop and manage the band program budget, including fundraising initiatives
Coordinate marching band logistics: drill design (or coordination with a drill writer), rehearsal schedules, and competition travel
Provide individual and sectional instruction to support student skill development
Maintain a safe, inclusive, and positive rehearsal environment
Communicate regularly with students, parents/guardians, booster organizations, and administration
Assess student progress and maintain accurate grades and records
Supervise student leadership (drum majors, section leaders) and support their development
Collaborate with other fine arts and academic staff on interdisciplinary opportunities
Attend district meetings, professional development, and relevant music education conferences
Ensure compliance with district policies, safety protocols, and relevant academic standards

Bachelor's degree in Music Education or related field
Valid state teaching certification/license in Music Education (or eligibility to obtain)
Demonstrated proficiency on multiple band/orchestral instruments
Experience conducting and rehearsing instrumental ensembles
Strong classroom management and organizational skills
Excellent communication skills with students, parents, and colleagues

Extracurricular/stipend pay in accordance with Cairo Association of Teachers contract
