System Director

Duties

  • Complete CTEI & Perkins grants within the allotted timeline.
  • Provide oversite and monitor implementation of CTEI and Perkins Grants.
  • Conduct appropriate Local Needs Assessment, Comprehensive Needs Assessment meetings to ensure accurate reporting to ISBE.
  • Work with Member Districts to ensure CTE licensure and approved CTE course sequencing (CIP approvals) are accurate.
  • Use Perkins V performance data to improve the regional delivery of CTE.
  • Ensure CTE data collection, submission, and reporting to the State is accurate.
  • Provide relevant professional development opportunities to CTE programs at the local level as well as state affiliate level.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact between ISBE, Region for CTE programs, and Community College, Union Trades, and other community stakeholders.
  • Keep all Illinois Grant Accountability and Transparency Act (GATA) and SAM’s in good standing.
  • Responsible for fiscal and programmatic activities within the region.
  • Establish partnerships with area businesses, institutions of higher education, and community groups to strengthen programs and support regional goals.
  • Continue to grow and enhance Work-Based Learning Construction, Manufacturing student internships.
  • Organize Board of Controls agendas and supporting documents prior to the 8 scheduled board meetings.
  • Meet all ISBE Program reporting (IWAS)deadlines timely.
  • Prepare Annual local budgeting, Joint Agreement Budgets and Annual Statement of Affairs budgets in accordance with ISBE guidelines.
  • Submit monthly expenditure reports in ISBE grant system (IWAS).
  • Managing and evaluating office staff, WBL Coordinator, & WBL Instructors on an annual basis.
  • All other duties as outlined by the Board of Controls.

Qualifications

  • Hold an Administrative Certificate with Teacher Evaluation Endorsement
  • Certified in a career and technical education (CTE) area (Agriculture, Business, Family and Consumer Science, Health Occ., Industrial/Technical) possessing 2,000 hours of work experience.
  • At least 4 years teaching experience in a CTE Content Area

Salary/Benefits

Negotiated per grant fund requirements/experience. This is a TRS position.
