Duties

• Assist the classroom teacher with instruction, supervision, and implementation of students' Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
• Provide academic, behavioral, and social-emotional support to individual students and small groups.
• Support classroom management and maintain a positive, inclusive learning environment.
• Prepare instructional materials and assist with classroom organization.
• Supervise students in classrooms, hallways, playgrounds, cafeterias, and other school settings as assigned.
• Communicate effectively with teachers, administrators, parents, and other staff.
• Assist students with personal care needs, including toileting, when required.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the supervising teacher or administration.

Qualifications

• Valid Illinois Educator License with Stipulations (ELS) endorsed for Paraprofessional required.
• Ability to work effectively with students of varying academic, behavioral, and developmental needs.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and work collaboratively as part of a school team.
• Previous experience working with children is preferred but not required (if applicable).
