Duties
Valmeyer CUSD #3 is seeking a compassionate and dedicated permanent full time Middle School Special Education Teacher to join our school staff, serving as case manager and as a resource teacher for some of our Valmeyer middle school students.
Qualifications
This is a unique opportunity, especially for someone early in the field: We will accept applications from candidates who hold, or are about to hold, any Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL). If you are not yet endorsed in special education, we will arrange temporary authorization for you and pay for whatever coursework or classes you need to attain full endorsement and certification. Along the way, we will provide the mentorship and support you need to succeed.
We know that wonderful educators sometimes come to us from across the river, so if you are a certified Missouri applicant and interested, please know that our district is glad to assist you in attaining your Illinois licensure upon hire.
Salary/Benefits
Benefits are competitive and include board-paid TRS and Health Insurance. Salary is commensurate with experience and education and our base salary starts at $44,500.
