Duties
The Chief School Business Official (CSBO) serves as the Cooperative's chief financial and business administrator, providing strategic leadership and oversight of finance, human resources, operations, risk management, technology, transportation, and other business services. The CSBO serves as a trusted advisor to the Executive Director and Executive Board on fiscal, operational, and personnel matters while ensuring compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local laws, regulations, and Board policies. The CSBO performs other duties and assumes additional responsibilities as assigned by the Executive Director in support of the Cooperative's mission, goals, and operational needs.
Qualifications
Illinois Professional Educator License with a Chief School Business Official (CSBO) Endorsement;
Master's Degree in Education, Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or a related field;
Experience with special education finance, policies, and procedures;
Knowledge of Illinois School Code and federal and state laws governing education,
employment and school finance;
Demonstrated leadership, organizational, analytical, and strategic planning skills;
Strong interpersonal, verbal, written, and presentation communication skills;
High ethical standards and the ability to maintain strict confidentiality
Salary/Benefits
Salary Information: Expected to hire in the range of $90,000-$140,000 (depending on experience)
