Duties
The ROE/ISC department is responsible for overseeing the annual process by which public and nonpublic schools and districts are assigned a recognition status. A district/school's recognition status is an evaluation of compliance with all applicable federal and state laws. This role will be primarily responsible for leading and managing the annual registration and recognition process for both nonpublic and public schools. Responsibilities include interpreting and communicating the requirements of multiple federal and state regulations, and collaborating with schools and ROE/ISC offices to ensure full compliance.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Manages and oversees all areas of nonpublic and public school registration and recognition, which includes, but is not limited to: maintaining and updating internal and external program documents, tools, records, reports, webpages, etc.; visiting schools annually to perform compliance checks and working with ROE/ISC to complete compliance requirements and mandates; reviewing and approving compliance monitoring reports; responding to issues of noncompliance; providing technical assistance by answering all questions regarding the registration and recognition process; managing MOU and intergovernmental agreements, data sets, and lists for internal and external use.
- Participates in the programmatic execution of grant programs.
- Responds to and participates in the investigation of inquiries and concerns from school districts, parents, students, the general public, and other stakeholders with respect to all areas of public school compliance.
- Provides support to all schools and districts seeking to remedy areas of noncompliance.
- Contributes to departmental functions as needed to support overall team effectiveness and operational success.
- Acts as the Agency's point of contact on homeschooling.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Salary/Benefits
Anticipated Starting Salary Range: $62,449 - $78,917
Full Salary Range: $62,449 - $106,278
Office Hours: Monday – Friday 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
