Duties
? Serve as district representative, and attend and facilitate all IEP and 504 meetings.
? Ensure all IDEA and Section 504 timelines are met.
? Coordinating all referrals for a Full and Individual Evaluation (FIE).
? Assist in the placement of students in district and cooperative transition programs.
? Represent the district at all IEP meetings for out of district placements.
? Coordinate and monitor Special Education Services for in-school and out of district
placements.
? Assist in maintaining high quality of services for students, staff, parents and community
members who utilize the services assigned to this position.
? Assists Director in carrying out the duties assigned to the position.
? Strive for positive and collegial public relations with staff, students, parents and community
members.
? Maintain confidentiality in all areas assigned to this position.
? Act as a role model for students and staff to provide leadership in the areas assigned to this
position.
? Act as administrative designee or District representative at IEP team meetings.
? Participate in IEP development and monitoring progress with respect to agreed upon services.
? Ensure accommodations all in place for all state tests (DLM, IAR and ACCESS) for eligible
special education and english language student
Qualifications
? Masters Degree, Illinois Type 75 General Administrative Certificate or equivalent.
? 5 or more years in teaching special education elementary students, PK-8th grade.
? A valid Professional Educator License (PEL) in Special Education, LBS1.
