Qualifications
Putnam County CUSD #535 has an immediate opening for a paraprofessional in our Jr. high building for the 2026-2027 school year. We are looking for a candidate who will create a positive learning environment that promotes the intellectual, personal, and social development of all students. Ultimately, they will help inspire children to achieve important learning milestones. This is a salary position that is full time. Come and join our team!
Any applicant must be eligible for or hold a Paraprofessional Educator License and meet the requirements set forth by ESSA. They also need to complete and pass a background check prior to employment. Review of applications will begin immediately and continue until the position has been filled.
Salary/Benefits
Anticipated Starting Salary:
*$29,359.50 without a Bachelor’s Degree
*$30,816.38 with a Bachelor’s Degree
*Includes 4.5% IMRF retirement benefit
Note: Per the collective bargaining agreement, selected candidate may receive up to 10 years of experience credit for prior employment as a paraprofessional in a Illinois Public School.

Board paid 90% employee only premium
Board paid 70% Employee Spouse premium
