Duties
Reporting to the Director, is responsible for complaint investigations, technical assistance, and projects that provide supports to districts regarding special education.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Conducts complaint investigations and provides technical assistance to other program staff to ensure consistency in the interpretation and application of federal and state requirements for special education services.
- Assists with the implementation of the complaint investigation system, the development of necessary processes and procedures for investigating complaints, maintenance of documentation necessary for federal compliance and other administrative functions necessary to carry out the state and federal requirements, and conducting training for new complaint investigators.
- Assists in the development and maintenance of systems and projects in order to meet the board goals and provide supports to districts and schools regarding special education services.
- Participates in the departments regulatory functions of general supervision and serves as an Agency representative and provides technical assistance regarding collection and reporting of data including the development and implementation of activities associated with the State Performance Plan and Board goals.
- Serves as the Agency representative and provides technical assistance regarding IEP forms.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Salary/Benefits
Department: Special Education
Anticipated Starting Salary Range: $64,322 - $81,284
Full Salary Range: $64,322 - $109,467
Office Hours: Monday – Friday 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
