Duties

• Create a positive, inclusive, and safe classroom environment that supports students' academic, social, and emotional development.
• Establish and maintain effective classroom management practices that promote respectful behavior and maximize instructional time.
• Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student progress, behavior, and classroom activities.
• Collaborate with colleagues, administrators, and support staff to develop instructional strategies and support student success.
• Integrate educational technology and hands-on learning activities to enhance student engagement and achievement.
• Prepare instructional materials, maintain accurate student records, and ensure compliance with school policies and district requirements.
• Participate in faculty meetings, professional development opportunities, and school events to support continuous improvement and the school community.

Qualifications

Must hold a valid Illinois Professional Educator License (K-9).

Salary/Benefits

Salary and Benefits: Base pay for 2026 - 2027 is $44,135. TRS is paid by district. Salary schedule can be found in the Collective Bargaining Agreement.

Insurance: Employee health insurance is provided by the district.
