The School Social Worker will be responsible for providing direct social-emotional support and counseling services to students, conducting assessments to identify student needs, and developing and implementing appropriate intervention strategies. This position collaborates with teachers, administrators, and families to support student success. The School Social Worker may be responsible for participating in IEP and 504 meetings as part of a multidisciplinary team, and also provide crisis intervention as needed. The School Social Worker also connects students and families with community resources, supports attendance and behavioral initiatives, and maintains accurate and confidential student records in compliance with state and federal regulations. Social Worker will also serve as the McKinney-Vento liaison.
