Director of Transportation
12 Month position

Salary to be determined by experience
Reports to: Superintendent of Schools
Start Date: July 6, 2026

Preferences:
- Experience driving a bus; Qualified for Commercial Driver’s License and Illinois School
Bus Drivers Permit; Safe Driving Record as per the Illinois State Board of Education
- Supervision experience
- General knowledge of school buses and related equipment required
- Experience with routing software, working with daily logs, inspection reports, and accident
reports
- Demonstrated abilities in interviewing, employing, and evaluating transportation personnel
- Knowledge of the Effingham School District #40 road system
- Preferred Personal Skills Needed:
Organized, Adaptable, Problem-Solving Oriented, and a Good Communicator
Salary: $65,000 - $75,000 Based on Experience
