Duties

We are seeking a dedicated, empathetic, and collaborative High School Paraprofessional to join our instructional team. In this role, you will work closely with special education and general education teachers to provide academic, behavioral, and social-emotional support to students with diverse learning needs. Your primary goal will be to help students access the curriculum, achieve their Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals, and foster the independence needed for post-secondary success.

Qualifications

• Age: At least 19 years of age.

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent required, and a passing score of 460 or higher on the ETS ParaPro Assessment.

• Experience: Previous experience working with adolescents or individuals with special needs in an educational, coaching, or childcare setting is highly preferred.

• Knowledge Base: Comfort with high school-level academic subjects or a strong willingness to learn alongside students.

• Must be able to navigate a high school campus efficiently.
• May require standing or sitting for extended periods while supporting students.
• Requires maintaining strict confidentiality regarding student records and personal information in compliance with FERPA regulations.
