Duties
Essential Functions include, but are not limited to the following:
- Demonstrates skill in diagnosing, prescribing, assessing student learning and appropriate record-keeping
- Possess an educational vision for and experience with low-income and /or minority students.
- Prepare outlines for courses of study, following curriculum guidelines and state and school requirements.
- Assist pupils in selecting course of study.
- Counsel students in adjustment and academic problems.
- Participate in various community groups or functions, faculty and professional meetings, educational conferences, and teacher training.
- Meet with students and parents to discuss student progress, challenges, & strategies for improvement.
Qualifications
The candidate must hold a Professional Educator Licensure (PEL) with an Early Childhood Education Endorsement and LBSI Endorsement.
- Bachelor's Degree.
- Professional Educator Licensure (PEL).
- Registered in Region 07 South Cook ISC 4.
- ECS3 Endorsement ( Early Childhood Special Education)
- Early Childhood Education Birth through Grade 3 OR LBS1 and Early Childhool Special Education Approval
- Successful Early Childhood teaching experience preferred.
Salary/Benefits
