Duties

• Providing instruction in language arts, mathematics, science, and social studies
• Developing and implementing engaging lesson plans aligned to curriculum standards
• Differentiating instruction to meet the diverse academic and social-emotional needs of students
• Assessing student learning through a variety of formal and informal measures
• Maintaining effective classroom management and establishing clear behavioral expectations
• Communicating regularly with parents and guardians regarding student progress and classroom activities
• Collaborating with colleagues, administration, and support staff to promote student success
• Creating a safe, positive, and supportive classroom environment

Qualifications

Kings Consolidated School District #144 is seeking qualified applicants for a 4th Grade Teacher position for the 2026–2027 school year. Applicants must hold appropriate Illinois licensure for elementary education. This position includes core instruction within a self-contained 4th-grade classroom setting.

Salary/Benefits

Salary will be determined in accordance with the current Kings School teacher contract and salary schedule.
