Girls Varsity Track Coach@ Moline High School

Duties

Position Summary:

The Head Track Coach has responsibility for the overall development of the Track and Field Programs. This includes the organization, management, administration, and communication of all aspects of the program. The head coach is also responsible for coaching and providing direction to help each participating student-athlete find success. 

Moline High School is a member of the Western Big six Conference and is classified as 3A in the Illinois High School Association.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Instructs and demonstrates skill sets and techniques necessary for individual and team achievement in all aspects of Track and Field
  • Ensures the proper cleaning, storage, and maintenance of al athletic equipment and uniforms
  • Oversees the Financial, Logistical, and Statistical aspects of the program, including roster maintenance
  • Works with the Athletic Director in preparing travel and game schedules
  • Ensures that [roper form(s) (insurance, attendance, medical) are obtained and current
  • Enforces discipline policies and emphasizes sportsmanship and healthy lifestyles
  • Supervises students in locker rooms at both home and away games and ensures appropriate behavior
  • Supervises coaching staff, including assignment of duties and responsibilities
  • Checks/secures facilities after games and practices, as applicable
  • Ensures that rules and regulations regarding safety, conduct, and the eligibility of athletes are explained and followed
  • Collaborates with Middle school coaches as needed
  • Works with the community and school district in the development of a youth program
  • Follows and maintains District policies and procedures
  • Performs other duties as needed relating to the Girls Track and Field Program

Qualifications

2026-2027 School Year:
1. Teaching Certificate or Human Kinetics Coach Education Certificate is required.
2. Experience coaching or participating in a college or high school basketball program preferred.. 
3. Illinois Coaching Certificate

Salary/Benefits

2026-2027 SY:

Differential Compensation: Salary Stipend: (based on Salary Step 0 w/min.- $48,324)-18%: $8,698, computed $9,558  through 20%:  $9,664, computed $10,619
