Duties
Henry-Senachwine Grade & Jr. High School is seeking an energetic, flexible, and highly motivated social worker to meet the behavioral, social and emotional needs of students in grades PreK-8 and be an integral member of the problem solving team. The successful candidate will promote a safe, inclusive, and equitable school environment that supports the overall well-being and success of all students; provide individual and small group support for students experiencing social, emotional, or behavioral challenges; deliver classroom-based social-emotional learning instruction; collaborate with teachers, administrators, and support staff to develop and implement intervention strategies; participate in multidisciplinary teams, engage and communicate with families while connecting them to community resources, respond to student crises with appropriate intervention and safety planning, maintain accurate and confidential documentation, assist students in developing coping skills, problem-solving strategies, self-regulation, and positive social skills, and monitor and evaluate student progress.
