Duties
1. Processes school and student enrollment reports, Transfer In/Out records, and student record
requests as required for the administrative unit.
2. Helps maintain and organize special education records for early childhood students.
3. Assists with duties related to the organization of preschool screenings held throughout the
school year.
4. Handles the building receptionist duties including answering the telephone and greeting
visitors.
5. Collects monies and maintains accounts as directed by the principal.
6. Compiles and completes attendance reports for all regular and special education students.
7. Maintains records of staff attendance and reports absences to the District Office.
8. Keeps the principal’s calendar and keeps the principal informed of meetings and
appointments well in advance of such meetings; rearranges appointments as necessary.
9. Maintains an efficient filing system for the principal.
10. Supervises use of office equipment; copies instructional materials for classroom use.
11. Assists with development of bus routes and coordination of bus services.
12. Screens and verifies lunch/milk program applications; orders lunches and keeps required
records for the lunch program.
13. Assists with the recruitment of volunteers to provide assistance for school activities.
14. Prepares and maintains copies of all purchase orders and monitors the receipt of materials.
14. Fulfills all other duties as requested by the building principal and assistant principal.
15. Communicates effectively with parents and families.
Qualifications
Clerical experience preferred and bilingual abilities required.
Salary/Benefits
Hourly pay starting at $18.00 per hour, commensurate based on experience.
