Duties

JOB DUTIES

• Provide direct English language development instruction to English Language Learners
• Develop instructional strategies aligned with Illinois English Language Development Standards
• Support students in developing listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills in English
• Collaborate with classroom teachers to support language development in core academic content areas
• Monitor and assess student progress in English language acquisition
• Maintain student language proficiency records and documentation
• Assist with the identification, placement, and monitoring of English Language Learners
• Participate in language program planning and instructional support services
• Communicate regularly with parents regarding student progress
• Support culturally responsive instructional practices
• Attend staff meetings and professional development as directed by administration
• Perform other duties as assigned by administration

Qualifications

REQUIREMENTS

• Meet Illinois State Board of Education Standards

• Hold a valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL)

• Hold an English as a Second Language (ESL) or Bilingual endorsement

Salary/Benefits

Range ($49,437 - $66,785)
