Duties

Job Duties:

• Provide direct instruction to middle school social studies students.
• Develop lesson plans aligned to Illinois Learning Standards.
• Plan, deliver, and evaluate instruction for students.
• Maintain the Teacher Gradebook.
• Utilize Differentiated Instruction.
• Utilize a variety of instructional methods, strategies, and interventions to maximize student learning.
• Actively participate in MTSS and PBIS processes.
• Continual review of student data (district assessments, local and state testing, etc.).
• Collaborate with special education teachers and administration.
• Attend staff and in-service meetings directed by building administration.
• Maintain appropriate contact with parents to support student achievement.
• Maintain the professional atmosphere of the school.
• Perform other duties in alignment with job classification as directed by the principal or designee.

Qualifications

Requirements:

• Meet the Illinois State Board of Education Standards
• Show evidence of Professional Educator License (PEL) valid in Illinois with appropriate endorsement

Salary/Benefits

Range $49,437.00 – $66,785
