Duties
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
A. Student Support Services
1. Provide individual and group counseling to address students' social, emotional, and behavioral needs
2. Conduct student observations, assessments, and social developmental studies as part of evaluation processes

3. Assist in identifying student needs and developing appropriate interventions and supports
4. Support development of Functional Behavior Assessments (FBA), Behavior Intervention Plans (BIP), and transition plans
5. Provide parent education and support related to student needs
B. Case Management and Special Education Coordination
1. Coordinate and facilitate all aspects of the special education process, including referrals, evaluations, eligibility, IEP meetings, and annual reviews
2. Ensure compliance with state and federal timelines, procedures, and documentation requirements
3. Schedule and organize meetings, ensuring appropriate staff participation and required documentation
4. Coordinate the collection and review of evaluation data and reports
5. Maintain accurate and confidential student records and case files
6. Serve as liaison between the school, families, and outside agencies regarding student services
7. Coordinate out-of-district placements and related processes as assigned
C. Consultation and Collaboration
1. Serve as a resource to teachers, administrators, and support staff regarding student needs and interventions
2. Participate in MTSS and problem-solving teams
3. Collaborate with staff on behavior management strategies and student supports
4. Provide professional development and training as needed
5. Assist in identifying service gaps and developing additional supports
D. Family and Community Engagement
1. Serve as liaison between school, home, and community agencies
2. Facilitate access to community resources and services for students and families
3. Assist with referrals to outside agencies and service providers
4. Support follow-up related to attendance concerns and crisis situations
E. Compliance and Documentation
1. Develop and contribute to Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
2. Maintain service logs, documentation, and reports in accordance with district and regulatory requirements
3. Support Medicaid billing processes as applicable
4. Maintain records of referrals, evaluations, and service delivery

F. Other Duties
1. Participate in crisis intervention and emergency response as needed
2. Perform other duties as assigned by administration

Qualifications
? Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with School Social Worker and/or School Counselor endorsement required
? Knowledge of special education laws and regulations, including IDEA and Illinois School Code
? Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with staff, students, families, and outside agencies
? Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
Salary/Benefits
$49,144-$55,663; Commensurate with experience. Additional stipends of ($5500) and ($3500)
