Duties

• Develop and deliver science lessons aligned with Illinois state standards and district curriculum
• Teach life science, physical science, earth science, and related content areas
• Design and implement hands-on labs, experiments, and inquiry-based learning activities
• Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners, including students with IEPs and 504 plans.
• Maintain and organize science equipment, materials, and classroom resources
• Establish and maintain a structured, positive classroom learning environment
• Implement effective classroom management strategies
• Participate in faculty meetings, professional development, and school events

Qualifications

Illinois Professional Educator License for grades 5-8 with Science Endorsement.  Must have a strong background in Science and be knowledgeable about Next Generation Science Standards. Other middle school endorsements highly preferred, or the willingness to earn more.
