Duties
Responsibilities
• Teach Chemistry courses in alignment with state standards, school curriculum, and
departmental goals.
• Design and deliver lessons that incorporate lab activities, experiments, and real-world
applications.
• Maintain a safe, organized, and effective laboratory learning environment.
• Assess and evaluate student progress through a variety of methods.
• Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues.
• Integrate Catholic values into instruction and classroom culture.
• Participate in school-wide activities, professional development, and faculty
responsibilities.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Science Education, or related field (Master’s degree
preferred).
• Current Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with Chemistry endorsement, or
ability to obtain.
• Teaching experience at the high school level preferred.
• Strong classroom management, communication, and organizational skills.
• Commitment to Catholic education and the mission of Althoff Catholic High School.
