Champaign Unit 4 Schools Director of Special Education

Duties

The Director of Special Education is primarily responsible for developing, facilitating, and closely monitoring the District’s programs and initiatives that promote and support the education and achievement of students with disabilities.

Qualifications

  • Illinois Administrative Licensure with endorsement as Director of Special Education
  • Previous, successful experience as a teacher and/or building administrator
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
  • Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board of Education may find appropriate and acceptable 

Salary/Benefits

The entry level base salary for this position in the upcoming school year is $142,639, plus highly competitive benefits, including 100% Board-paid TRS contributions and 100% Board-paid employee-only health, dental, and term life insurance. There is a minimal employee cost for vision insurance.
