High School Social Science Teacher Share: Print: Duties Teach students about the principles of Civics, Sociology, Psychology, and History of American Originals. Prepare students for the Constitution Test, a graduation requirement for high school students. Create engaging lesson plans and utilize a variety of instructional strategies to facilitate student learning. Assess student progress and provide timely feedback to students and parents. Develop and maintain a positive and respectful classroom environment that fosters student learning and growth. Collaborate with other teachers, staff, and administrators to create a cohesive learning community. Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in Social Science education and integrate them into the classroom. Participate in school events and activities, including meetings, parent-teacher conferences, and professional development opportunities. Qualifications Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Social Science or related field, with a valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL). Knowledge of current educational best practices, teaching methodologies, and assessment strategies. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
