Director of Student Services
Duties
- Lead the implementation of truancy support services for school districts within ROE 35.
- Oversee and manage truancy caseworkers and the support they provide school districts.
- Director of the student mentor program. Lead and manage the implementation of student mentor programming for participating school districts.
- Evaluate and manage the effectiveness of the student mentor program.
- Responsible for the hiring, retention, dismissal, and evaluation of truancy and student mentor staff.
- Human resources lead. Will assist in the creation of staff contracts and management of benefit time.
- Will assist in the management of grants related to student services, such as ALOP, RSSP, TAEOP, after school programs, and the McKinney-Vento Homeless grant.
- Assist schools, students, and their families in identifying and accessing resources that support student success.
- Assist and participate in ROE sponsored events.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with Principal or Administrative Endorsement.
- 5+ years of administrative experience preferred.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and leadership skills.
- Proven ability to successfully lead people and programs.
Salary/Benefits
- 12-month position
- Hiring Salary Range: $80,000 - $100,000.
- Salary offered to be commensurate with education and experience.
