Duties
This position (Grades 4 & 5) is responsible for creating a positive, engaging, and faith-filled learning environment that supports the academic, spiritual, and social development of students. The teacher will integrate faith values and teachings into daily instruction while delivering a rigorous and developmentally appropriate curriculum. This position also includes an AM and PM homeroom. Lunch and recess are duty-free.
Faith Formation & Catholic Identity
- Model and promote Catholic values in all interactions with students, families, and colleagues
- Participate in school Masses, prayer services, and religious activities
- Support the spiritual development of students through prayer, reflection, and service opportunities
Instruction & Curriculum
- Plan and deliver effective instruction across several content areas
- Differentiate instruction to meet diverse learning needs
- Use a variety of instructional strategies and technologies to engage learners
- Assess student progress regularly and adjust instruction accordingly
Classroom Environment
- Establish and maintain a safe, respectful, and orderly classroom environment
- Set clear expectations for behavior aligned with school values
- Foster a classroom culture of kindness, responsibility, and collaboration
Student Support & Communication
- Monitor and communicate student progress with parents/guardians regularly
- Collaborate with colleagues, support staff, and administration to meet student needs
- Participate in parent-teacher conferences and school events
Professional Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and progress
- Engage in ongoing professional development
- Adhere to school policies and diocesan guidelines
- Contribute positively to the school community
