Position Summary
Position Type: Hourly / School-Year Position-7.5 hours day
Reports To: Principal
The Alternative Classroom Supervisor oversees the daily operation of the school’s in-school suspension program, known as the Alternative Classroom. This position ensures a structured, respectful, and academically focused environment where students can reflect on behavior, complete assigned coursework, and remain connected to the school community.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise students assigned to the Alternative Classroom throughout the school day.
- Monitor and support completion of academic assignments provided by teachers.
- Communicate with classroom teachers regarding student progress and work completion.
- Reinforce school policies, behavioral expectations, and restorative practices.
- Document student attendance, behavior, and completion of assigned work.
- Support students in reflecting on choices and developing positive behaviors.
- Substitute teach on days when there are no students in ACR.
Salary/Benefits
Compensation: $30 per hour
Compensation for Alternative Classroom are based on Appendix "D" of the Agreement between the Board of Education, O'Fallon Township High School District No. 203 and the O'Fallon Federation of Teachers, O'Fallon, Illinois 62269 (Collective Bargaining Agreement). This position is eligible for health/dental/vision/life insurance, 403 (b), paid-time off, and tuition assistance. This position participates in the Teachers Retirement System (TRS).
