Duties
Mahomet-Seymour CUSD #3 is currently accepting applications for a Junior High 6th Grade Social Studies/Science Teacher. The successful candidate will provide engaging instruction that encourages critical thinking, inquiry, and a passion for learning. This position is responsible for supporting the academic and social-emotional growth of junior high students while contributing to a positive and collaborative school environment. This position will start with the 2026-2027 school year.
Responsibilities:
- Develop lessons that promote critical thinking, problem-solving, and inquiry-based learning.
- Differentiate instruction to meet diverse student needs.
- Monitor student progress and use assessment data to guide instruction.
- Maintain a structured, safe, and supportive classroom environment.
- Collaborate with grade-level teams, specialists, and support staff.
- Communicate effectively with students, families, and colleagues.
- Support district initiatives and building goals.
