Duties
The Peoria County Regional Office of Education is seeking two Professional Learning Specialists to support our mission of Service: Students, Educators, Communities. The specialists will focus on supporting school districts through high-quality professional learning, instructional support, and coaching.
The two positions will have different areas of emphasis based on the needs of our districts. One position will have a:
- Core Instruction Focus: Supporting high-quality Tier I instruction, curriculum, assessment practices, and instructional leadership.
The other position will have a:
- Specialized Instruction Focus: Supporting special education, inclusive practices, co-teaching models, multi-tiered system of supports, and differentiated instruction.
Key responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Designing and facilitating professional learning for educators and school leaders
- Supporting school improvement efforts
- Building collaborative partnerships with district and school leadership
- Coordinating research-based practices to improve student outcomes
- Supporting regional initiatives and ROE programming
- Other duties as assigned
The Regional Superintendent reserves the right to modify qualifications or job duties to select the best candidate to fulfill our mission of service.
Salary/Benefits
$70,000 - $85,000 annual salary. Sick, personal, and vacation days. TRS position with health insurance benefits. Full-time, 12-month schedule.
