Duties
Lebanon CUSD #9 is seeking a motivated and student-centered Physical Education Teacher to serve students in grades 6–12. The successful candidate will promote physical fitness, teamwork, sportsmanship, and lifelong wellness while fostering pride in the Greyhounds school community. Instruction will align with Illinois Learning Standards and support the district’s commitment to academic excellence and whole-child development.
Lebanon CUSD #9 also seeking a dynamic and organized Athletic Director to lead and manage the district’s interscholastic athletic programs for junior high and high school students. The Athletic Director will promote excellence, sportsmanship, and student-athlete development while fostering pride in the Lebanon Greyhounds community. This position ensures compliance with all applicable regulations and supports the district’s mission of developing well-rounded students.
Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education, Kinesiology, or related field

Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with Physical Education endorsement

Knowledge of Illinois Learning Standards and effective instructional practices

Strong classroom management and interpersonal skills
Athletic Director
Bachelor’s degree in Education, Sports Management, or related field
Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) or eligibility (preferred for school-based AD role)
Knowledge of interscholastic athletics, rules, and program management
Strong organizational, leadership, and communication skills
Salary/Benefits
Salary and benefits determined by the Lebanon CUSD #9 collective bargaining agreement or administrative contract
Participation in the Illinois Teachers’ Retirement System (TRS), if applicable
Additional stipends may be available based on responsibilities
