Duties

Mahomet-Seymour CUSD #3 is currently accepting applications for a Music Teacher at Middletown Prairie Elementary.  The successful candidate will support the district's mission by creating a safe, supportive, and engaging learning environment that promotes student growth and musical development.  This position will begin with the 2026-2027 school year. 

Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver developmentally appropriate music instruction aligned to Illinois Learning Standards
• Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of learners
• Assess student progress and maintain accurate records
• Maintain a structured, safe, and engaging learning environment
• Communicate effectively with families regarding student progress and performance opportunities

Qualifications

• Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with Music endorsement
• Strong knowledge of elementary music curriculum and instructional best practices
• Demonstrated ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and families
• Effective classroom management and organizational skills
