Duties
Some of the duties include: supporting students' academic and social-emotional growth by providing individual/group counseling, conducting social-emotional assessments (including Social Developmental Studies), developing IEP goals, performing crisis interventions, and linking families with community resources. They act as liaisons between home and school, aiding students with behavioral needs.
Qualifications
A type 73 License - Professional Educator License (PEL) with a School Social Work Endorsement.
Salary/Benefits
As per negotiated contract. The board pays the 9% TRS contribution on top of the teacher salary and provides single health insurance at no cost for its employees.
