Duties
Under the general direction of the Superintendent, the Chief School Business Official is responsible for the administration of the budget, fiscal planning, purchasing, accounting, insurance program, and grant administration of the District.
- To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily.
- Assume responsibility for budget development, control, and long-range financial planning.
- Develop and administer a program for purchasing contract service, supplies and equipment.
- Work collaboratively with the Proviso Township Treasurer
- Prepare and submit the Tax Levy.
- Establish and supervise a program of accounting and reporting for the financial affairs of the District.
- Manage the District's insurance and investment programs.
- Supervise the development of required financial reports as required for all funds.
- Consult with the Superintendent on questions relating to the District's business affairs.
- Prepare and submit to the Board of Education, reports and other documents as required.
- Perform other job related duties as may be assigned by the Superintendent.
Salary/Benefits
Minimum starting salary $120,000, will be commensurate with experience; benefits as established annually by D91
