Industrial Technology Teacher-Automotive Teacher. For grades 9-12
Qualifications
Innovative and hands-on educator or industry professional to lead our Industrial Technology-Automotive program to help prepare students for high-demand careers in the skilled trades, particularly automotive technology. Preference will be given to individuals with proof of successful experience in the area. The persons selected shall be expected to assume duties the 2026-27 school year.
Salary/Benefits
As per negotiated contract. The salary and benefits associated with this position will be commensurate to experience and professional training minimum starting salary at $47,600. Benefits for this position will include sick days, personal days, TRS retirement, health, dental & vision insurance.
Additional Notes
This position offers the opportunity to build and expand a program that teaches real-world technical skills while working with industry partners such as Caterpillar, Illinois Central College and local dealerships to prepare students for careers in automotive technology and related fields.
Students learn in a recently upgraded automotive shop and dedicated small engines lab, renovated in partnership with Caterpillar, designed to support efficient, hands-on, career-connected learning.
