The Board of Education of Maywood, Melrose Park and Broadview Elementary School District 89 announces the opening of a search for a new Chief School Business Official (CSBO) who will assume responsibilities on July 1, 2026. This vacancy provides a dedicated, long term, career-focused finance director the opportunity to lead the finance department of a progressive, successful and highly diverse school system. Several exciting initiatives are under way as the district moves aggressively to focus on and improve student academic performance.
District 89 is located in western Cook County, Illinois, approximately 10 miles west of the City of Chicago. The diverse student population is representative of all three communities that make up District 89. District 89 consists of nine schools with a total student population of 4,163, PreK-8. District 89 empowers, educates and inspires students to achieve personal excellence in a multi-cultural setting.

Application Procedure:

This will be a “Rolling Search” with applications accepted until the position is filled. Applications will be screened as they are received with interviews tentatively held in mid-April.

* Evidence of eligibility for CSBO Endorsement in Illinois or equivalent

A regionally competitive salary/benefit package will be offered to the successful candidate with a salary range of $160,000 to $175,000. Applicants will be informed of the Board’s selection and appointment of the new superintendent. The final selection and appointment is the sole responsibility of the Board of Education.
