Qualifications:  Proper certification in physical education and/or health for the middle school level

Key Responsibilities

• Physical Instruction: Plan and lead activities in team/individual sports, fitness testing, and cooperative games while emphasizing sportsmanship and safety.
• Health Education: Deliver classroom lessons on nutrition, mental health, substance abuse prevention, and human growth and development.
• Curriculum Design: Develop age-appropriate lesson plans aligned with state standards.
• Classroom Management: Maintain a safe, inclusive environment in both the gym and locker rooms; manage equipment inventory and maintenance.
• Student Assessment: Evaluate physical skill progression, health literacy, and participation levels through formal and informal assessments.
