Duties
1. Leading a student-centered classroom where assessment, assignments, instruction,
and interactions are focused on student learning.
2. Being a member of a team who understands teamwork, cooperation, and
supporting one another.
3. Good communicator with various stakeholders at our school including team
members, administration, staff members, instructional aides, students and parents.
4. Strong fundamental skills on the growth and development of the elementary aged
student.
5. Willingness to be part of a vertical and horizontal articulation group working to
advance the curriculum.
6. Knowledge in working with students that have special education needs.
7. Having experience in working with students with social/emotional concerns.
8. Knowledge of the ISBE state standards and demonstration of how
curriculum/instruction will align with those goals.
9. Actively participating in opportunities for professional growth in reference to the
current assignment
Qualifications
Elementary license
Ability to work well with administration, staff, students and parents
Strong organizational skills desired
Salary/Benefits
Starting salary base 2025-26 SY of $45,500 (9% TRS included) for a first year teacher, additional salary paid for experience and education level as laid out in the EPG Collective Bargaining Agreement CBA .
EPG's existing 4 year CBA will expire at the end of the 25-26 SY. We will be negotiating a new agreement that will begin with the 25-26 SY.
